An Update

I haven't forgotten that I promised an update, and it is coming. But first I wanted to share with you that I have spoken with Bro. Sy from Rio Rancho Baptist Church. He has suggested that I go to Ocosingo in August of this year when the team goes to build the new building!!!!!!

So be praying. I only get one vacation a year. So pray.
Also pray about the possiblity of going to Chiapas for about 4 months. To check out Chiapas, talk to the officials and to meet other missionaries.

There is a lot to pray about.

And don't forget the education fund!

As soon as I get approval from Brother Benjamin on the report I will be giving, I will be calling a bunch of you to see about coming and speaking with your churches.

My Laptop was Stolen

Hello my friends. Many of you know that prior to going to
Mexico, my laptop was stolen. This was a
problem for me, because it is a necessary tool for the ministry. However
someone once told me that I should let God be God in my life. I don’t want you
to think that I haven’t always practiced what I preached, but…
The truth is I
was raised that God helps them who help themselves. (Not in the Bible) While
that sounds good on one level, it also takes away from allowing God to be God
in one’s life.

Yes we are to work. Paul said those who don’t work don’t
eat. (II Thessalonians 3:10)
Yes we are to put feet to our faith. James said faith
without works is dead.(James 2: 20, 26)
However, often times, we, well, I, will put my shoulder to
working out things without God.
I will pray, but then I will proceed to figure it out on my
own, almost like God isn’t trustworthy enough to handle the situation.
We humans, me for one, seem to get it in our minds that a
problem must have a solution in a certain time period. We think if He hasn’t
done something “snap” that quickly, then he must expect us
make it happen ourselves.
Right now I am thinking of Saul, and how he was told by
Samuel to wait for him for 7 days and he would come and make the burnt
offering. When Samuel didn’t arrive in what Saul thought was the right amount
of time, and he looked around and saw that things were getting dicey; Saul took
matters into his own hands. In so doing Saul angered God because he got
impatient and did not trust God’s man, did not trust God.
Things have gotten dicey for me at times, too. I have rushed
ahead of Him on more than one occasion. Well God has been working this out in
my life. Nothing has taken God by surprise, from Samuel running late to my
laptop being stolen.
So let me share with you what God has done. Let me praise
Him as the God who restores. Let me praise Him as the God of second chances.
Let me praise Him for answered prayer. Let me praise Him for being God. Not only did He provide a loaned computer for
me to use while I was in Mexico, but when I returned, He placed upon someone’s
heart that they should give me a new laptop.
So when you see the pictures, or when you see the
presentation, know with assurance that He is my Sufficient God. The Supplier
of all my needs.

I have arrived Safely

Hello everyone from Ocosingo, Chiapas, Mexico! Ya, I have made it. First I want to say, God is Good! Yes He is. Listen, my spanish is very bad. But guess what I have been speaking?

You guessed it. Spanish!

I am learning so much. The Brother and Sister are very gracious people. I am so very blessed to be meeting with them.

I have much to say, but, it is difficult to say it in such a short time. I have to rent internet time, at an internet cafe. So surfice it to say, I need your prayers. Please Please pray. Thank you so much and God Bless you all.

Yahweh Street Ministries

Hello to all,

I hope you are all well and having a wonderful day! I keep thinking we will get some rain, but so far none.

What a blessing the National Day of Prayer was! We served 350 people! The early event seemed to go well with the Salvation Army and Church on 242 serving coffee, donuts, tea and cookies. We had several people stop and pray with us. Also the Gedions gave out lots of New Testaments. It is nice to have someone come and set up the chairs and tables. The Disaster Relief Team did such a great job setting up and serving lunch - when they left us they were on their way to Alabama - still serving the Lord! The girls from Teen Challenge, Covenant Praise Group, Color Guard, the special singer (Teresa Yow), sound man Jody Westra and speakers were all a great blessing! And didn't Pete look nice in his uniform...it's always good to see God's people taking of their personal time to show up and serve...God is always faithful!

Well, on we go to future events - our next meeting will be Saturday, June 11th at 9 a. m. in the small room at the Montgomery County Library. Topics will be Light the Night, LifeChain and ladies retreat.

I have returned

Today we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What a blessed day it is.

I am so glad to be able to speak to you on this day of all days about “Alas de Dios”. About the work that the Hermanos Loera have undertaken.

Brother Benjamin and Sister Magvis graciously invited me into their home, their lives, and introduced me to their family.

I am amazed at the work that this couple has accomplished.
They have not made this journey alone.

They have friends who have walked the distance with them.
Brother Earnest McCollum and his wife Anita. Then there is Rio Rancho Baptist Church in New Mexico who have partnered with them to build the home. And this is just the first. God has given this family a beautiful vision.

Today they have eight children, besides their own two ( a son and a daughter). And over the next few days I would like to introduce them to you, as well as an idea the Lord has lain on my heart. So Keep your eyes, your ears, and especially your heart open….

August Women's Breakfast

This morning we had the Women's Breakfast hosted @ Woodland Baptist Church out FM 2090, almost to Hwy- 59. Oh ladies, we had an awesome time. The theme was "Joy comes in the Morning." From the food, the music to the spoken Word, God was glorified. We counted over 50 women and at least 9 churchs were represented. Below are just a few of the comments from the ladies in attendance. Elaine and Ruth Ann said, "We were both filled with joy on this mornings fellowship for the ladies." Becky at Bethel Baptist commented, "Our ladies group first heard of YSM about a year ago. We were blessed to get to go to the ladies retreat in 2010... a few of the ladies attended the breakfast in Conroe and again today @ Woodland Baptist. Your ministry has blessed us and has encouraged me to do more for others. We would also like to host a ladies breakfast at our church. Margaret from Woodland Baptist thinks it was an enlightening experience and, "each speaker enriched our morning." JoAnn from New Bethlehem said "Thank you so much for a wonderful morning. The food was great, as were all of the speakers and singers. "Barbi from Mims exclaimed, "I am blessed... Thank You Lord for the blessing of the scholarship to the Women's Retreat. I have learned so much and received some wonderful fellowship." And Ronda also from Woodland Baptist tells us that "Joy really does come in the morning. This breakfast and devotional was an inspiration and a true blessing...made me want to be more involved and more dedicated to spreading God's Word. Thank you." Melissa was touched so powerfully her response was "WOW! such a powerful fellowship. Thank You Yahweh Street Minsitries...Joy truly does come in the morning!"

Ladies, this is just and example of the favorable response and encouragement we received today. Our prayer is that you too will be able to participate in the next breakfast and the upcoming retreat for 2011.

June 4th Women's Breakfast was a Wonderful Success

Wow! What a great turnout we had. Somewhere between 35 and 40 women, I think. Besides great food and fellowship, God's Word was shared in a very exciting way.

Our Verse that glorious morning was Romans 12: 1-2. "I beesch you therefore brethern by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice holy acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And to not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable will of God."

We talked about the need to stay in God's Word if we are truly going to live holy transformed lives.

It seems as if the church has joined an unholy fast called by Satan himself, a fast from God's Word. Worse it seems the redeemed of Christ has chosen to participate in this fast.

The Question was asked, 'Will Christ recognize YOU as His spotless bride? What will He see, as you are presented as a part of that body in her glorious white gown? Will you be glowing, beautiful and transormed? Or will you be that smudge upon that holy gown or a smear upon the chosen holy face?

It is time Chosen One to break fast and devour God's Word for yourself.

It was then that Robin Bryce came in and shared the practical application of studying God's Word. Her goal was to send each of God's Chosen home prepared to take up the challenge that was passed along to everyone in the form of a contract.

That contract was to encourage us to take our daily time with God' very seriously. Set an appointment everyday and keep that appointment as if your life depends on it. Oh and it does christian, God's Word is your life blood.

Then Anita Wood came and shared the beautiful hope that we find in God's transforming Word. I felt as if she were speaking to me personally. She spoke from Hebrews 6: 16 -19.

Take a moment and read this protion of scripture for yourselves. Be anchored in His Word, in His promises.

You know ladies, no matter where you are in your life, no matter what has happened. No matter what you have done or others have done to you, God is sufficient He wants to affect healing in your life, He wants to make a change in YOUR life today. Just say Yes!
